About Me
I have written stories for as long as I can remember, but I never considered that someone else may enjoy them until rather recently. In fact, I’m still not sure of that now!
My favourite stories as a child were always the spooky stories, not the outright horrifying ones, and certainly not the gory ones, but the ghost stories. The stories in which you were not quite sure what it was you were supposed to be afraid of. For me, these have always been scarier as they introduce an element of imagination, and a person’s own mind is often the most frightening thing they will ever encounter.
So I began to write my own little ghost stories. At first they wouldn’t have frightened a child, but then, one afternoon, I re-read a story I had recently written and I got goosebumps. The writing bug had officially bitten.
Gothic Literature is my absolute haven. It is frightening, lustrous and sensational. I have not been able to find a novel yet that I did not like in some way. The aim of this blog is for me to learn about the genre I have loved for so long, amongst other like-minded people, as well as perhaps learn some writing tricks along the way too!
